creating ppt

Hi all,
how can I create a ppt file with all musics inside with Power Point
2000 or XP? I mean, I need a ppt because I don't want other people to
be able to edit my work, so pps is not what I need. In these Power
Point versions only making "portable presentations" I can export the
presentation with its music files, but this way I get a pps!
If I try to save as ppt it does not put music files inside it.
How to do that?
Thanks,
Marco

Along with what Luc has said when your in your .ppt file and click on slide
show your file becomes for the period of the presentation a .pps file. There
is no difference in the files other than the way that they open. Both can be
edited if the person has the full version of PowerPoint on their system
