Creating reports from Journal entries

P

Outlook features a journal that, combined with the calendar would be a great
source for tracking time spent.

I have browsed the web using googles, altavistas, and other engines
searching for a tool that can generate reports to the likes of:

"Show me how much time I spent on all contacts from company XXXX last month"
"Give me a total amount of hours spent on the phone so far this month"

One thing that dazzles me, is that while there are tons and tons of pages
instructing you on how to ADD information to the journal, there are
practically none that give you this type of information. The timeline is
useless for anything but remembering when one did something.

I have found ONE application that will read the contents of the outlook PST
file and generate invoices from this, but what I seek is just an easy, as
painless as possible, method for looking at how much time I spend with the
different customers we have here at work, so that I can fill in some of the
gaps on my timesheet.
