Creating Reports

I have a Project with about 800 tasks, give to take 100,
and I am trying to create a report that will show the
amount of work already on a particular task within the
Project, even though the task is not finished. I want to
create this report to show a monthly total of the amount
of work that has been done, by all recourses on a
particular task, including the tasks sub-tasks.

Any ideas? Can this be done?
