Creating users from Project

Wendy

Hello,

We would like our resource managers to create new resources from MS
Project. They are currently set up to edit their resouce's data, but
don't appear to be able to create new users. Can you advise what
settings should be modified to accommodate this change? If you need
more detail, let me know.

Thanks!
Wendy

Hi Wendy, well, assuming that they are already members of the resource
manager's group, they should be able to open Project Pro and connect to the
server, open the enterprise resource pool, and add users.

Let me know if this works. If you've changed the default permissions then
you'll have to investigate further.

Did you want to create Enterprise or Local resources? I feel more
comfortable having this done through PWA so as to elminate any confusion
between Local and Enterprise resources. The project manager would then use
Build Team to load the enterprise resources into his project pro client.

That's the thing, the resources aren't set up as resources at all. I'd
like the initial creation of the resource/user to happen by the
manager in MS Project (the way I do as an administrator). However,
these users don't have the ability to assign an NT ID from the
resource pool. Is there any way to grant access for this?

Thanks
