Creative Suite PPX incompatible

I'm still struggling with the problem of adding jpgs or tifs to my PPX
presentations. I did as previously suggested (repaired disk
permissions), which did nothing. Some jpgs and some tifs will consent
to be inserted, but there doesn't seem to be any pattern to that. I
just created a new .tif and new .jpg from Photoshop CS and there's no
preview and nothing is inserted (Red X). Is there any known
incompatibility with PPX and Adobe Creative Suite?

Are some of your files RGB and others CMYK? PPT doesn't like CMYK.
