Cropped images not printing properly

Hello everyone.

I'm having problems printing cropped images in MS-
Publisher. I insert the image, resize & crop it to what I
want, it looks fine on the screen, but it prints
incorrectly -- images are not cropped the way I want them
set. I'm hoping someone can help.

I'm running MS-Publisher 2002 (SP-1), Windows 98, HP-
Deskjet 3820.

(and before you say it, I have downloaded the most recent
deskjet drivers.

Are you resizing bitmaps or vectors? When you resize bitmaps there is a certain
amount of distortion, while it may not be obvious so much on the screen the printing
is problematic. Resize the image in a paint program then crop in Publisher.

In addition to Mary's response:
If you use Fast Resize and Zoom display, cropping is not displayed
accurately. If you are going to crop in Publisher, crop in Detailed Display
under View > Pictures to get the best results.
