cropped names

Hi,

Does anybody knows why when I print a gantt chart, the task names are
cropped. It is utterly bizzare as sometimes the program behaves itself
and wraps the task names into the cells, at other times it crops them?

I am beginning to wonder whether the ms team were high when they wrote
this program, so many things seem to be counter-intuitive, it is so
frustrating.

Many thanks and please ignore my dig at ms if u work for them.

project newby,
Boy, calling the developers on the carpet for suspected drug use, you
are playing with fire my friend. Better make sure your doors are
locked......... :)

OK, enough fun. "Word wrap" in Project is determined by the row height.
In older versions of Project, row height was the same for all task rows.
However with Project 2000 and above, individual task row height can be
adjusted on a row by row basis. In your case, it may be that the rows
that are wrapping have a row height greater than "1" and the rows that
are not wrapping have a default row height of "1". The row height
setting can be changed either by selecting all and then dragging any row
separator, or by going to View/Table/More Tables. Then hit "edit" for
the selected view table. In the lower right corner of the Table
Definition window, adjust the row height as necessary.

It might also be possible that you have a problem with you print driver.
Try another printer and see if that helps.

By the way, none of the MVPs work for Microsoft. We are all independent
volunteers.

whenever I stumble accross something which I can't do or figure out.

Your answers is very clear, thanks again!

Duncan,
You're welcome, and thanks for the feedback.
