cropping and printing scanned documents

steve

I am currently using a large format scanner and plotter. I am confused about
the following:

I scanned a document.

I cropped out most of the white space in the preview mode for the scanner
software.

When I tried to plot it later, the white space caused the image to get cut
off at the bottom.

So I tried cropping it in the Microsoft Office Document Imaging program. I
didn't stretch or shrink the image, just cropped tightly around the image.

I was able to plot the cropped image, but it was distorted. I am confused
because I felt like I just cut the picture out like it was scissors. Why
would the image become distorted? Is cropping in this program different than
when i originally cropped the image in the scanner software?

Thanks,
Steve

If you use scanner software,
You scanned to preview, selected only the preportion of the image you
required,
Then scanned.
If the output is then 'faulty' it might tend to indicate something not quite
right with the plotter page/setup
What if you send to another printer?
