Cross Functional Swim Lanes

I have a frustrating issue. I have created a Cross functional (horizontal)
Visio process flow with 4 swim lanes. All is well when I save it. When I
come back to the file again I see the swim lanes are on top of each other and
all screwed up. I am trying to moe them and snap it back and it would not
let me. I have been using Visio for a long time. This has never happened to
me before. I am at loss as to how it can happen like this, and how can I
ensure this won't happen when I distribute a perfectly good looking visio to
my business partners and something like this happen when they open it. Any
advice to fix this issue is appreciated. The version is Visio Prof 2003 SP3

I would take a guess that somehow the functional bands have lost their
connection formulae to the holder shape.
If you want to email the document to me I'll take a quick look.
