Cross Project Dependencies

Meg

Hi, i'm using 2003

I'm trying to link tasks in different projects on the server but when i
typre the project name i.e <>projectname.published/42 (<> in the ID part of
Predecessor in Project Info, as suggested in a different post, i get an error
saying this ID number doesn't exist, specify a task ID number that is used in
this project.

This is the way suggested for 2003.

I've doen this with 2007 and it's fine.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

P

Projectability

Meg,

If you open the 2 projects at the same time and go Window>New Window you can
display both projects in the same window and then easily link tasks in one
project to tasks in the other. Once you have saved the changes to the
individual projects if you close them and open one of them on its own the
Predecessor ID will be displayed inthe format you have referred to.
