Cross-reference

When I insert a cross-reference to a Table (Table 1), apart from having to
search high and low for where to do it (it used to be fluent and automatic in
Word 97), the blooming thing is invisible! The link is there and, with Ctl,
will send the cursor to the relevant Table, but thew reader cannot see it.
There is just a blank gap! Is Microsoft deliberately trying to torment its
customers with Office 2003?

Hi mvlturner,

If you're using cell addressing, be aware that cross references to cell addresses only retrieve numbers - that's how it's always
been with Word. For text, you must bookmark the cell contents (not the whole cell) and cross reference to the bookmark.
