Cross References Errors with Tables

I am having a serious issue with my cross-references to tables in my
document. None of the many figures I also have cross-referenced are having
any problems. Here's what's happening:

When I go to print preview or even just straight to print the document, the
cross-references to the tables do one of four things:
1) Some stay just fine
2) Some tab down and start a new paragraph
3) Some insert duplicate tables of whatever they were referenced to
4) Some show up as the "error!source not found."

I have to be able to get documents to customers and be confident they aren't
going to have this happen whenever they try to print, please help!
