I don't kow if this is possible, but I figured this was the place to ask. I
have a database with numerous forms. Many of them all reference the Part
Details table.
Numerous forms/tables do what I'm about to describe, but I'm just using one
as an example to try and get my point across.
The table "Tool Action Request Form" references a certain part with part
numbers, name, etc. from the Part Details table. In the table (manipulated
using a form), various new properties area assigned to that part, including a
LOG number. This LOG number is used in other tables.
Is there a way to create a query or a search of some type that will allow a
user to search by the LOG number and have it return all cross-table
properties that have been assigned to that LOG number? Also, is there a way
to assign a LOG number to a part from "Part Details" that is referenced in
"Tool Action Request Form" just by typing in the new LOG Number in "Tool
Action Request Form"?
I'm an extreme newbie at Access so please keep that in mind.
