Crosstab queries as recordsource for Report

How do I handle the changing number of fields created by a
crosstab query and have the correct fields displayed in a
report.

Do I need to create a report on the fly, if so how to I do
that?

You can refer to the EmployeeSales report in the sample
Solutions database (Access 97).
