Crosstab with parameters

When running a report based on a crosstab query with a parameter I get:

The Microsoft Jet database engine does not recognize '' as a valid field
name or expression.

I read the kb article on this and specified my parameter in the parameter
window and now the reports work fine on my system.

When I email it to my customer and they attempt to run it they get this
error.

Got me stumped.

Any ideas?
