microsoft.public.vb.crystal

The only one I can find on any server I access.

msnews.microsoft.com carries it

My default ISP server "news" also carries it.

I haven't use Crystal reports nor do I even know what they
are however, why not use excel? It is more versatile than
you think. You can send me a dummy worksheet with info of
what you want to do, and I can write a macro or userform
to fit. You can then come back to this forum and ask an
excel question.
