Cube view for users

Hello

We use Project Server 2003, SP2a ant the cube for reports. All our views
have been designed with all updated permissions for users.

However, one of our users can change nothing, ie to select another choice
from existing filter.
- If I use his user on my PC, then I can do the above operation.
- If I use my user (admin right) sur his PC, I can NOT do the above
operation.

So, I think that there is something wrong on his PC although we have the
same PWA version. Could this issue be caused by a set-up in Windows or other
MS tools?

Check to see if the user has Office XP 2003.
If that is the reason, that what you are experiencing is the reason.
There is a peice of missing code in the regedit settings to allow this.
I don't have the regedit code handy, but will look for it and repost.

Hi TP,

the Porfolio Analyser uses Office Web Component 2003 (or XP). I assume that
your user, on his/her PC does not have Office installed, or at least not the
office web components ( which can be reinstalled).
Since Portoflio Analyser requires this, but doesnt get it from the PC, it
gives you a "simple" viewing functionality. That of course reduces the
functionality.
Please install either an office prodcut ( like Excel ) or make sure that the
web components are installed, then your user should be able to work just fine.
