can anyone give be a general break-down on what the CubeCellValu
function is and how it is used? and maybe the link to a download

To bump the thread after 90 minutes seems a little impatient....

Anyway, CubeCellValue lets you connect to an OLAP database to retrieve
data into Excel:

However, OLAP databases (e.g. Essbase) tend to come with pretty
sophisticated Excel Add-ins which provide more functionality.
