Hi All,
A co-worker copied text from the web and pasted into a new doc. When they tried
to bold a line of text, all the text on that line scrunched together appearing
to take up 1 character space - an unreadable mess. The best way I can describe
it is if you were to use a typewriter and typed a single character in the same
spot over and over again.
I had them copy the text and insert it into a new document using the paste
special command - no formatting, but that didn't seem to do the trick. The
effect appeared to continue anytime they opened up a previously saved .doc (I
opened the same documents and could bold/unbold successfully).
Then, for no apparent reason they were able to bold again. I've never seen this
behaviour before. Can anyone offer an explanation?
Thanks,
Angela
