Curser stays in one spot when typing in word 2002

I have a machine in my office running Windows XP and
Office XP. The problem is that randomly during typing the
curser will quit moving and stay in one spot so every time
a character is typed it goes on top of the previous one so
then pretty soon it looks like a big dark spot. I have
replaced the keyboard but it didnt help. I can reboot and
the problem will go away for awhile. Any Ideas? thanks Tom

Hi Tom,

It might be a problem with the graphics or the printer driver, so updating
them might be worth a try.
Another thing to check next time it happens is "Format > Font > Character
spacing > Spacing: Condensed...".
Documents that have been exported from DTP programs for example often
contain manually applied spacing.

Regards,
Klaus
