cursor goes missing

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

I have read all the old posts but nothing yet on a fix. I can be typing simple documents and it suddenly disappears. If I close the document it comes back for a while. Same document on another computer doesn't have the problem at all.
Please update to the status of a fix for missing cursor problems.

Hi Tom:

Sounds to me like part of the Spaces problem. Try clicking the extreme edge
of the Word Window (with the MOUSE cursor!)

Note: We do not get "updates" on the status of reported bugs. We sometimes
(not always) learn that they HAVE been reported.

The next thing we know is the same as what you get: an updater arrives that
fixes the issue. That's the first notification anyone outside Microsoft
gets about bug fixes.
