Custom Animation Task Pane problems...

I have 2003 version, and my custom animation task pane has just
disappeared! Whenever I right-click an object then click custom
animation, a box comes up that has basic custom animation features. It
really sucks compared to the task pane, and if anyone could tell me how
to bring the task pane back, I would really appreciate it!
