Custom Bullet Styles not Keeping formatting in Normal.dot

I am customizing my normal.dot and have created a couple
bullet styles and numbered list styles. I get them exactly
as I want them, Add them to the template, close Word and
when I reopen word, the indents and tabs are not as I
saved them. What am I doing wrong? Any thoughts?

Hi Greg

Using styles is the right way to go. But you must set the indents and tab
position from the numbering scheme, and not from the Paragraph settings for
the style - otherwise whatever was set in the numbering scheme will bounce
back whenever Word feels the need to recalculate it.
