Custom Field Calculation

Adam Bennett

Hi All
We're on PS2003 and I've created a view in Project Center to show us various
project schedule and budget health metrics. I created a Custom Enterprise
Project Text Field to calculate the Estimate To Complete (ETC) of the project
using the formula "[EAC]-[Actual Cost]". However, after setting this up and
adding the field to the view, it only seems to calculate this for a handful
of the projects we have in the system. There doesn't seem to be any
differentiation between the projects that calculate ETC correctly and those
that don't. They both have a valid EAC and Actual Cost value.

Any ideas on why? Should I be using a Custom Enterprise Project Cost field
instead of the Text field?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi Adam,

In order to make it visible for all projects you will need to open the
project press F9 ( recalculation ) save and publish the projects. Then all
calcualted values should appear.
hope this helps
