Custom Fields Crashing Views

Hello,

I am having an issue when I create views that include a custom field in PS
2007. The custom fields appear OK in Project Pro, but I get teh below error
when I try to view in PWA.

At first I thought this was specific to custom fields that were using
graphical indicators, but think it is more then that. Would this be
attributed to errors in a formula? My thought is no, since it works in
project Pro, but???

Company I am at is on SP1, but has not installed the Infrastructure Update
9something i am working on, but going through some red tape) Are there known
issues that the IU directly addresses with custom fields and views?

Error I get when trying to access view:

"Project Center cannot access the project(s) you are trying to view. It is
most likely that you either don't have permissions to view the project,
another user has deleted this project(s) before you were able to view it or
that another user is in the process of publishing the project."

I have seen this error when you include a Filter in the PWA view that
filters on a field not included in the View. Oddly enough, the system will
allow you to create a Filter on a field not in the View, but then you can't
display the View. Just a thought. Hope this helps.

Dale and Samer, thanks for the info.

I reviewed the Views and did update one filter that was using an old custom
field that was renamed. Then cleaned out my cache, republished a project and
still got the error.

I forwarded the info on the suggested blog to our IT team who is going to do
this in our development system, so I can see if that works there. Per that
blog, one thing that I was suspicious about when I got the error was a
timeout issue in our system. Given that the projects are large, and that
prior to receiving the message, there is some processing time. So we'll see
what happens....crossing my fingers.
