Custom filter for My tasks

I would like to apply a custom filter to remove tasks from the My tasks page
that are already 100% complete. I noticed there isn't a filter option under
Settings on the My tasks page, like there is on the other pages.

How can this be done?

Lisa,

This should be automatic if you apply the "Current tasks" view under the
View Options. Of course, if a task is marked as "New" it will continue to
show until it is no longer new I believe. Also, I have heard from other
users that this "current tasks" view doesn't always seem to work as
expected. Let us know if you are seeing issues with "Current Tasks" not
filtering out 100% completed assignments.

The only views available in the My Tasks page is the default "My
assignments", and the one custom view that I created. I do not have a
current tasks view.

When I was creating my custom view, I was looking for a filter to apply, but
did not see a filter section on the Manage Views screen in PWA.

Lisa,

Sorry that I wasn't clear enough in my instructions. Next to the views you
referenced there is a also drop down called "Settings" where you can select
"View Options" from this drop down.

You will no see a filter that you can apply called "Show Only Current
Tasks*". See if this is turned on or off.

Yes, the "Show Only Current Tasks" box is already checked. I tried that
originally, but it didn't seem to do anything. I have double checked that
all the tasks have been published as well.

We have not deployed yet, so mostly I am still testing using the "out of
box" configuration. Is there something else I need to set?

Jonathan,
I did not realize you had to double click on the task for it not to be
"new" anymore. Once I did that, my 100% tasks (that were more than 10 days
old) went away.

Is there an easier way to remove the "new" designation? Or is there a way
to modify the definition of "Show only current tasks" to ignore whether the
task is new?

I am not aware of a way to do either one of your two questions. I believe
that in 2003 new assignment flag would go away after a specific amount of
time that is unknown to me. But it seems that in 2007, the new flag does
not go away until the task is clicked on and viewed in details. Thanks for
the follow up on this, it is useful information for others.
