Custom Hit Counter

Does anyone have code or know how to create a custom hit counter? I have
found code for custom hit counters but I think the .gif images are being
saved by Publisher under a different name than they need be and I don't know
how to fix this! Anyone? Please. [email protected]

Publisher generates copies of images using it's own names.
You should be able to use any 3rd party hit counter.
