Custom Number formats

Is there a way to format a value (ex. $948.82) to read as
nine hundred forty eight dollars and eighty two cents?

Hi Mel,

There is no formatting to do this, but you can accomplish it with a custom
function. Here is one (in accountants section):

Also, you could do a google search for something like "Spell Dollars" or
"Numbers to Words" (thank you Bob Phillips).
