Custom portfolio modeler

Hi,

This is my first post on this group .. so hello to everyone :)

I need to create custom portfolio modeler which allow me to optimize
resource utilization in project portfolios. I need to automatically
adjust project start date & tasks start dates. Additionally I need to
stop projects in portfolio, change priorities and so on.

Do you guys have an idea where (and how) should I start ? Or how can I
implement necessarily functionalities in portfolio modeler ?

Thanks Dale. I supposed so :( but I want to be sure. Do you know any
modules or extenders that can do something like this ? Is it the only
way to develop such a software ?

I think UMT Portfolio Server is exactly what you're looking for in this case.
You may have heard that Microsoft has acquired UMT's product group and
therefore the upcoming Portfolio Servers will be launched under Microsoft's
flag with Project Server 2007.
