Custom Task field in 2007

Hello,

I was told that Project Server 2007 allowed the use of custom Task fields in
the OLAP Cube.
So I tried to create one simple text field with a short lookup table.
First problem : 9 times out of 10, the lookup table drop out the field when
we click the save button. And it is impossible to edit a custom field, so we
have to delete it and start again...
Finally, on the 10th trial, the lookup table seems to stay with its
field.... but in Project Pro, the lookup table turned out to be empty ;-(
I there somewhere an efficient process to build such a custom field ? (I did
that in less than 30sec in 2003)

Hi robert, we have done this on 2007 without any problem. Create the lookup
table, assing the custom field to the lookup table.
under service settings > configure OLAP Cubes move the task custom field to
the right hand side ( sot hat it is picked up by the building process) ,
build the cube and you should be fine.
Should this not work ( espeically actually building the lookup table) then I
would check the intsallation of PS2007. Maybe check the event log of your
sever for further details
