Custom template presentations?

Can I create a presentation that includes a custom template (that I've
created and saved to my "Templates" folder) and send it to someone else?
Will they be able to open it up with their PP?

You probably should ask this question in a PowerPoint newsgroup; this
newsgroup is for a different program, Microsoft Access.
