Custom template

Having trouble with custom templates -- I've read other posts with no
success. I created a new template and saved as a .pot but when I go to use it
I can't. It shows up on the slide design preview, but when I try to
choose/assign it nothing happens. I followed some earlier directions I found
in this help forum and nothing worked. Very confused. I have no problem using
the other templates provided with PP. Thanks, JS

When you created the template, did you put the stuff on the slide master?
