custom text fields

Hi there, I am a new user of PWA and have a question that I hope someone can
help me with. I have added 4 custom text fields on a 2007 Project file that
do not show up when viewed on PWA. Browsing through some other posts, it
looks like this has happened to other people as well. Is there any way to get
these fields to show up on PWA? Thanks.

I'm guessing you used custom fields from within Proj Pro and not enterprise
custom fields created within PWA?

Open PWA as an admin, goto server settings and you'll see an option to
manage Enterprise Custom Fields.

I suspect that once you've followed Paul's instructions you'll also need to
modify the default Project Centre view (or create a new Project Centre view)
that contains these new custom fields.

Thanks for all the replies. We checked today and the custom text fields open
on other computers in our office. Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Tim,
Try and clear up your cache on the machine that is giving you the trouble.
There is a problem with the active cache and custom fields in 2007. The steps
to clear your cache are
1. go to documents and settings
2 look for your microsoft data folder
3. navigate to MS Project
clear the contents of the cache folder and the other one for MS version 12

Hi Jane, thanks for the reply. We were actually just talking about this when
I read your reply. Whereabouts do I find the folder which contains the cache?
i checked documents and settings and there was nothing related to it. Thanks
again.

I found the cache location, cleared the files and it worked! I appreciate the
