I have creatd a custom view in a public calendar on my exchange 2003 server,
using Outlook 2003 sp2. Is the view saved on my machine as a file? and if so
can i take this and apply this calendar view to another exchange 2003 sp2
server?

Thanks

If you created the view with the scope "on this folder visible to everyone," then it is stored as a hidden item in that folder. If you want to copy it to another folder, you can use the File | Folder | Copy FOlder Definition command.

Hi Sue

I need the custom view that is applied to this calendar and somehow export
this view to a different Exhcnage 2003 server (unrelated to the original
exchange server) i then want to import this view to a calendar foder on the
other exchange server

It's a little involved. First, you need to create a new .pst file. Then, create a folder for each different type of folder whose views you need to copy. Switch into say, the mail/post folder. Choose File | Folder | COpy Folder Design and select the folder whose views you want to copy.

Reverse the process on the other end.

Only the folder can make permanent changes in a view.
