customer experience program - which user?

Hi,
wouldn't it help to distinguish between normal lady in the office writing
letters all the day and more experienced users, like developers?

I think there are not as many developers as ladies in the offices... but
they could have common requirements on the GUI and behaviour and so on. The
application than could load into a corresponding scheme (like VS loads VB/C++
UI).
And the feedback wouldn't be mixed alltogether.

Thanks

That would defeat the purpose of the program. The idea is to NOT
distinguish between participants.

I can tell you have never done any research. One of the first tenets of
research, keep it anonymous.

I don't think saying I'm developer or IT admin or end user is less anonymous
than getting from which country I am.

And when the VS asks me what user I am, it probably has sense.

Countries have specific customs or traditions that are important to account
for in Office localized versions. Your role has no affect.

Oh, and Visual Studio is asking this to present you with the appropriate
startup window. It has nothing to do with the Customer Experience Program.

Just like to say VS has its Customer Experience Program too and depending on
your choice, it completely changes UI, remaps keyboard and so on.

But thank you for the replies, though.

Hi Milly,
so what the developer ribbon tab then? This is something what I was
thinking about.
