customise date

Can anybody please tell me if there is a way you can
alter the default date style in a Footer? The icon
enters the date as 16/5/04, however, I want it to be 16
May 2004. Is there a way I can change this without
typing the date manually??

It seems the System Short Date is used. As follows - change the tome format
for window's system.
