customised fields and PWA

Hi chaps
I need to create a customised view for our Board. This I can manage
reasonably well!
What I need to be able to do is create new fields containing text,
numbers, costs etc in the enterprise global, (I think) and then amend a
view to reflect this.
When I tried to create a field called "Project Sponsor" using the
insert a column function, choosing "text 1" and renaming it
appropriately, I could see the new field in PWA but it was still called
"text 1"
Please would someone be able to point me in the correct direction?

In the future, please post your Project Server questions to the
microsoft.public.project.server newsgroup, as this newsgroup is closing
down. To answer your question, you will need to ask each of your project
managers to open every one of their projects and do the following:

1. Click Project - Project Information
2. Set values for custom enterprise Project fields and outline codes as
needed
3. Click OK
4. Click Collaborate - Publish - All Information
