Customising Timescale labels

Is there any way I can customise the timescale label in Gantt Chart view to
show Day and Night shifts rather than 0 and 12 hours.

Many Thanks

Hi Tommo,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

I don't understand what you mean by the timescale showing 0 and 12.
However, if you're referring to nonworking time, try
Format/Timescale/Nonworking time tab and select the appropriate shift
calendar.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

Mike, thanks for the help but not quite what I was after.

I am using a 24 hour calender comprising of two seperate 12 hour shifts and
need to destinguish between the two on Gantt Chart timescale. Currently i can
only acheieve this by setting the bottom tier of the timescale to hours with
a count of 12 which represents each shift as 0 and 12 in the timescale. Can
this labeling be changed to show D and N (day and night) in place of the
numbers.

I have a vague memory of having down this in Project 98 but have no idea how
I did it or if its possible in 2003.

Many Thanks

Hi Tommo,

No, I know of no way to change the labelling. However, If you select one of
the day or nigh calendar to show in nonworking time as I suggested, the
Gantt will be shaded to show that shift's nonworking time. That's the best
I can offer.
