This is actually part of customizing the WSS templates. I have done a
little bit with the templates but not much. If you'd like to know
more, go visit the experts in the
MICROSOFT.PUBLIC.SHAREPOINT.WINDOWSSERVICES newsgroup or one of the
other SharePoint newsgroups.
I can give you a little info.
WSS is installed to the following location by default. This is all
from memory since I am not logged into the server right now so it may
not be entirely accurate.
c:\program files\common files\microsoft shared\web services
extensions\60\bin
You want to look for the Templates folder which will probably be under
a 1033 (english language id) folder. Eventually you are looking for
the PWA folder which houses the Project Web Access template for WSS.
You might do a search for some of the other selections that are already
in the "Category" drop down and this should help you find the place you
are looking for.
