Exchange/ outlook folders are a mess, particularly if you have many sub
folders of email, multiple contacts and calendars. The user should be able
to organise what they want to see and where on the list (as the order on the
list is arbitary).

The use of public folders is made more difficult by being hidden in layers
of sub folders.

The permissions settings for other users on user folders are also limited
requiring careful checking to ensure new folders don't get the wrong
permissions

Have you experimented with tailoring the Shortcuts Bar? You can show any
Outlook folders in any order, as well as adding files and folders from
anywhere in your system to the shortcuts.
