customize default to full justification

There's no simple button to click for justification defaults as there
is for margins and fonts. But you can update the Normal style in your
Normal.dot master template.

Or you can just learn to hit Ctrl + A to select all and hit Ctrl + J
to justify after a doc is done...or hit Ctrl + J before you start to
set it.

(FYI...Ctrl + R = right align, Ctrl + L = left align, Ctrl + E =
center align, Ctrl + J = full justification.)

Here are a couple TechTrax article that will provide info about how to
handle styles and the Normal.dot that should provide further insight.

Too true! But if the user modified Normal style to be justified, then he/she
would soon be back asking why labels were justified (they use Normal style),
or why any of the other styles based on Normal were justified. Just trying
to save us some work!

True...but sometimes that's a good way to learn WHY things should not
be done versus just telling someone.

HA...I think I'm in a mood due to a client recently telling me what HE
wanted...against my advice. NOW he's requesting a quote to fix what he
wanted to return it back to what I original said he should do!<lol>

(Personally, I'd NEVER set Justification as a default in the first
place...but some peole like/need it...even if it rarely looks good and
make reading more difficult in most cases?!?!?)

In school...you learn the lessons and then are tested.
In life...we are tested and then we learn the lessons!

<wink>

Good luck...

I have no objection to justification per se and use it in my books, but not
in Normal style (I apply it to Body Text and let that ripple down to the
styles based on Body Text). And I don't make *any* style changes in
Normal.dot, as I learned long ago that it is more satisfactory to keep it
pristine for reference. I don't ever base anything but scratch documents on
Normal, either; I have a set of generic templates (Letter Portrait, Letter
Landscape, Legal Portrait, Legal Landscape, 4x6 Card, 5x8 Card, various
envelope sizes, etc.) that I use for documents for which I don't have a
specific template.

True...in books it's good.

With the dozens of Normal.dots I have...I don't personally worry about
messing with that style. Although I never BASE any styles on
others...so that saves me from the problem of having changes trickle
down.
