customize individual outlook 2007 contact cards

I am using outlook 2007, and in the "CONTACTS" we have our customer
contacts, is there a way to color code these contacts? We would like to have
the colors represent which salesperson this customer belongs to.
this way when we open CONTACTS each contact shown would have a assigned
color for the salesperson.
we have found how to do this once you open the contact, but we would like to
to show different colors prior to opening ??

Is this possible??
