customized bullets not retained

in ppt i can create a bullet from a symbol, but i don't know how to save this
bullet. why do i have to recreate it every time i need to use it?

If you use that often, you could save it in the Slide Master, or even
better -- save it as a template.

I´m having the same problem. When using ppt 2003 there is no problem
creating av customized bullet in the Slide Master- The bullet shows in every
text box in the document. But by some reason, I can´t make this work in ppt
2007. I have created the bullet point list in Slide Master and saved it as a
template. Why?
