Customized fields

a. We’re able to customize fields in Project Server but not update the
fields. For example, we created project status fields that are available
when we initially save the project. However, we are unable to update these
fields once the project has been saved.
b. Task customized fields only show up in the Task Information box. Is
there a way to make them available as a column?

A. To update these custom Project fields after you have saved the project,
you must click Project - Project Information. You will see the fields at
the bottom of the Project Information dialog.

B. Yes. Your Project Server administrator should create custom Tables and
Views in the Enterprise Global file. The custom Tables and Views will show
your custom Task fields. Otherwise, each PM could add the fields as needed
by applying any Task view (such as the Gantt Chart view), right-clicking on
any column header in the Table on the left, and selecting Insert Column from
the shortcut menu. I would personally recommend that your Project Server
administrator handle this through custom enterprise Tables and Views.

Hope this helps.
