customizign cross-functional flow chart

Hi.
I would like to create a new template baed on the cross-functional flow-chart.

I am trying to find a way to adjust which stencils are used after the first
functional band has been added, but I cannot find the code that do this.

Where is the code for the dialog window asking about the orientation?

Where is it possible to start or must I start from scratch?

if you check the visio samples (stencils and templates) you will see that
the cross-function flowchart is comprised of a stencil, a template (with
persistent events), and a vsl file. It's a custom application with out a
published interfae.
