Customizing Project Server's Project Guide for Web Client

Hello,

I'm interested in customizing the left side pane (Project
Guide) when a user logs in to Project Server. For example
when they update tasks I'd like to have information
presented in the left pane specific to our organization.

Any resources that can get me started on this would be
most appreaciated.
