Customizing the standard notification email messages in Project Se

We would like to add more information to the standard notification message
(such as the actual hours entered and dates).

We looked at the MSDN article: "Customizing Microsoft Project Server E-mail
Notifications and Reminders", but it seems focused on adding new email
functions rather than customzing an existing one. Does anyone have a document
that describes the steps needed to add information to the existing messages?

Not sure if you can add database fields to a field that is already a database
field. The text is in the database as a datarecord and I am not sure how you
can add other database fields in a record. You might want to ask a SQL DBA
your question.
