Customizing Themes

This is all very new to me, please be patient! :) When I try to customize
a theme, I can change the appearance of everything except the background
color. I change it and it appears to change, but when I exit out of the
colors screen, the background color reverts. Any ideas why I would not be
able to change it?

You can modify it, but you need to save it with a new (Theme) name. You can
save 'over the top' of the original FP theme.

Whenever you make changes to a theme you have to Save As a new theme
(name)...then unapply the old theme and apply the new named theme.

I did the following:

Right Click on existing theme
Customize
Saved as new - (I named it Test Theme)

When I tried to edit, I still could not change the background color. I am
able to change everything but?

Any other ideas?

I am using this with a very sophisticated order management system with many
web pages at work. The software only works with pre-named themes. I have
already renamed one with the correct name (Custom 10). I will be unable to
rename it the same name, will I be able to delete it and restart when I
figure this out?

Rob Giordano \(Crash\)

When you are in Customize Theme, choose the Colors tab, then the Custom tab
and you'll see where you can change the bg color.
hard to find i know.

Yes to can delete Custom 10 and rename your final one to Custom 10

Thanks for your patience!

When I go to theme, customize, colors, custom - I see a drop down where I
can choose to change the colors of the background, banner text, body, etc...

I can change the color of the everything and it works fine. However, when I
choose background from the drop down menu and change the color, it physically
changes on that screen, but when I say OK, it reverts to the previous
settings. It is really wierd because it is only the background that I am
having trouble with. Anything else I try to change to a custom color is
fine. Anything else I can try?
