Customizing Today not working

Hello all,
I am running Office 2000 Professional on Windows 2000. I'm running into a few problems with the Today window. I can't customize this view by clicking on the upper right hand corner where it says 'Customize Outlook Today...' Any suggestions or fixes? Also the tasks that show up there are inconsistent. I have it set up so that tasks with no due date are shown, and then any that are due today should show up, correct?

Hello again,

I didn't do my homework before I posted the first time. The problem exists because of a critical update for internet explorer. Here is a link that suggests a work around:
