cut and paste acting crazy

One of the XP pro systems on our network running Word
2000 out of the Office 2000 suite. When you copy a bit
of text in a normal word document then paste it just
below in the same document it pastes a screen shot of the
whole screen from the second you pushed the paste
button. What on earth could cause this? Help please

While I do not know what is causing this, I think that if
you used the Paste Special / Unformatted Text option, you
may have better results. Give it a try

Sounds to me as if this machine has a graphics-type program
installed and that it's "usurped" the copy/paste commands.
Are you using keyboard shortcuts, or the menu commands?
